Isn’t it sort of condescending for Middle Easterners to call their ancestor as their brother or sister ?

It’s a Hebrew culture for calling themselves as Ben (translate son of) of their ancestors, even Arabs also call themselves as Bani / Banu ( translate: Son of ) when identifying their relation to their ancestors eg. Bani Umayya means Son of Umaaya , so we can conclude it’s Middle Eastern culture in calling themselves as son of their ancestors and not as brother nor sister. .
