I decided to publish my response to a youtuber named ServantOfAllah who shamelessly butchered the words of our blessed Lord Jesus in order to make them fit within his Islamic theology. This will provide a case study for Christians to see how to respond to the constant shameless manhandling of God’s inspired Word by Muslim polemicists. The readers will learn not only how to refute the arguments, but also discover how to take the very objections of the Muslims and turn them against their own beliefs, showing how their very own points end up proving that Muhammad was a false prophet. I have corrected a few things for better clarity. Here is the link where you can find ServantOfAllah’s arguments: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USFvDh_9RjA&lc=z12ytfmwfkbct3jaa04cdd1yovihfrt50lg0k.1486231741576820
THE ARGUMENT
As for the first verse:
“No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!”
If we were to back up a little and read from the beginning of this chapter, we would find that just before Jesus spoke these words, he said;
“In my Father’s house are many mansions (dwelling places); if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a mansion (a dwelling place) for you.” (John 14:2)
The above statement is quite clear. It is in exact conformance to the teachings of the Qur’an. In the Qur’an we are told how God sent messengers to all tribes and nations. We are told that the basic message which was given to each of these tribes was the same: “Worship God alone and worship none else.” Some of the secondary details of this worship might differ from one tribe or nation to the next according to God’s infinite wisdom and his knowledge of those people. It was made very clear to each prophet that he was not to preach to anyone but his own people. It was further made clear to this messenger’s people that if they were to obey him that they would receive the reward of God. God would not hold them accountable for what any other tribe or nation did or did not do. This would continue until God’s last messenger, Muhammad (pbuh) would be sent to all mankind as the seal of the prophets.
This is exactly what Jesus is saying here. He said that in God’s mansion there are “many” rooms. Jesus was sent to guide to only one of them. The countless other rooms were reserved for other tribes and nations if they would obey their messengers. However, Jesus was telling his followers that they need not worry themselves about the other rooms. Anyone from among his people who wished to enter into the room which was reserved for them could only do so if they followed Jesus and obeyed his command. So Jesus confirmed that he was going to prepare “a” mansion and not “all” the mansions in “my Father’s house”.
Further, the verse clearly states that Jesus was the “WAY” to a mansion. He did not say that he is the “DESTINATION” which would be the case if he were God. What else would we expect a prophet of God to say except “I am the ‘way’ to God’s mercy”? That is his job. That is what a prophet does. It is why God chose him in the first place; in order to guide to the mercy of God. This is indeed confirmed in John 10:9 where Jesus tells us that he is “the door” to “the pasture.” In other words, he is the “prophet” who guides his people to “heaven” (see also Jn. 12:44). So no one comes to the Father except through me means that no one could be with the Father in Heaven without following the prophet that God sended (Jesus). So they must follow Jesus to attain Heaven.
Finally, remember “Not every one that says to me(Jesus); ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father, who is in heaven.” (Matthew.7:21)
THE RESPONSE
Let me expose your deceitful misinterpretation of the Holy Bible, and show you how these passages actually prove Muhammad is a false prophet.
First, Jesus says he is both the way AND THE DESTINATION:
“Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God. Believe also in Me. In MY FATHER’s house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again AND RECEIVE YOU TO MYSELF, THAT WHERE I AM, YOU MAY BE.” John 14:1-3 Modern English Version (MEV)
This isn’t the only time that Jesus said that he himself is the destination of all believers:
“Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, BE WITH ME WHERE I AM, that they may see My glory which You have given Me. For You loved Me before the creation of the world.” John 17:24 MEV
Hence, this means per your very own argument Jesus was claiming to be God when he claimed to be both the Way AND THE DESTINATION!
So make sure that next time you actually read the context and not simply pull a verse out of context and think you can get away with it.
Second, Jesus says he is THE Truth (al-Haqq),
“‘You know where I am going, and you know the way.’ Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going. How can we know the way?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. No one comes to THE FATHER except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known MY FATHER also. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.'” John 14:4-6 MEV
Which is one of then 99 names of Allah:
Al-Haqq:
The Truly Real The Truth, the Real, the Really-existing, He whose existence and divinity are true, the One who creates according to the requirements of wisdom, justice, right, rightness, the Necessarily-existing by His own Essence, He whose existence is undeniable. Every reality exists from His essence and nothing has any intrinsic reality except Him.
Al-Haqq is one of the Ninety-Nine Names.
“That is because Allah – He is the Truth, and what you call upon besides Him is falsehood Allah is the All-High, the Most Great.” (31:29) “On that Day Allah will pay them in full what is due to them, and they will know that Allah is the Clear Truth.” (24:25)
“That is because Allah is the Real and gives life to the dead and has power over all things and the Hour is coming without any doubt and Allah will raise up all those in the graves.” (22:6) (Aisha Bewley, The Divine Names https://bewley.virtualave.net/names.html)
According to Tauhid al-Asma wa-Sifaat, NO MUSLIM PROPHET CAN EVER EMPLOY ANY OF THE NAMES OF ALLAH FOR HIMSELF. This proves that Jesus isn’t a Muslim, but the God of all Muslims, even of Muhammad.
Third, let’s again read the context of John 12 which you again butchered:
“Then Jesus said to them, ‘Yet a little while the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. He who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. While you have light, believe in the light that you may become sons of light.’ Jesus said these things, and departed and hid Himself from them… ‘I HAVE COME AS A LIGHT INTO THE WORLD, that whoever believes in Me should not remain in darkness.” John 12:35-36, 46
Jesus claims to be THE Light (Al-Nur), which again is one of the 99 names of Allah:
An-Nûr:
The Light The light, guide, the One who illuminates; the One who is manifest, clear.
An-Nur is one of the Ninety-Nine Names.
“Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The metaphor of His light is that of a niche in which there is a lamp, the lamp inside a glass, the glass like a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east nor of the west, its oil all but giving off light even if no fire touches it. Light upon light.” (24:35) (Aisha Bewley, The Divine Names)
This isn’t the only time Jesus claimed to be the Light of the world:
“Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. Whoever follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.'” John 8:12
“I must do the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. Night is coming when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.” John 9:4-5
This again proves that Jesus claimed to be God by ascribing to himself one of the names of your god, which again proves he is no Muslim, but rather is the God of all Muslims and the God of Muhammad!
Fourth, all throughout these verses that you referred to, the Lord Jesus identifies God as his Father and the Father of all true believers, a fact which your prophet denied:
Say the Jews and Christians, ‘We are the sons of God, and His beloved ones.’ Say: ‘Why then does He chastise you for your sins? NO; YOU ARE MORTALS, OF HIS CREATING; He forgives whom He will, and He chastises whom He will.’ For to God belongs the kingdom of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them; to Him is the homecoming. S. 5:18 Arberry
The Jews say, ‘Ezra is the Son of God’; the Christians say, ‘The Messiah is the Son of God.’ That is the utterance of their mouths, conforming with the unbelievers before them. God assail them! How they are perverted! S. 9:30 Arberry
And they say, ‘The All-merciful has taken unto Himself a son. You have indeed advanced something hideous! The heavens are wellnigh rent of it and the earth split asunder, and the mountains wellnigh fall down crashing for that they have attributed to the All-merciful a son; and it behoves not the All-merciful to take a son. NONE IS THERE IN THE HEAVENS AND EARTH BUT HE COMES TO THE ALL-MERCIFUL AS A SERVANT; S. 19:88-93 Arberry
Since your prophet denied that his god is a father to anyone, including Jesus, this means he stands condemned as a false prophet by the very words of the Lord Jesus which yourself just quoted!
Finally, in Matthew 7:21 which you again quoted out of context Jesus said one must “Lord, Lord” and do the will of HIS Father in order to be a true disciple:
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of MY FATHER who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonderful works in Your name?’ But then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from Me, you who practice evil.’ Whoever hears THESE SAYINGS OF MINE AND DOES THEM, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock. And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it did not fall, for it was founded a rock. And every one who hears these sayings of Mine and does not do them will be likened to a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it fell. And its fall was great.”” Matthew 7:21-27 MEV
This again proves that Muhammad is a false prophet since Jesus again identifies God as his Father and claims that he has to be Lord over a person’s life in order for him/her to be saved. Muhammad, on the other hand, taught that his god would never permit anyone from serving a prophet or angel as Lord along with Allah:
It belongs not to any mortal that God should give him the Book, the Judgment, the Prophethood, then he should say to men, ‘Be you servants to me apart from God.’ Rather, ‘Be you masters in that you know the Book, and in that you study.’ He would never order you to take the angels and the Prophets as Lords; what, would He order you to disbelieve, after you have surrendered? S. 3:79-80 Arberry
This isn’t the only time Jesus referred to himself as THE Lord of all:
“ye call me, The Teacher and THE Lord (ho Kyrios), and ye say well, FOR I AM; if then I did wash your feet — THE Lord (ho Kyrios) and the Teacher — ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.” John 13:13-14 Young’s Literal Translation
Once again, Jesus takes another name of Allah, namely THE Lord (ar-Rabb):
Ar-Rabb:
The Lord Lord: master, owner; chief; the Cherisher, the one who takes care of a thing. Ar-Rabb is the one who puts right, manages, compels and guards. He is the One worshipped. Some scholars say that the name is the greatest name of Allah because of the great number of those who make supplication using it. It reflects the true relationship of a person with his Lord, containing both mastery and kindness, concern, and nurture.
“Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them. Lord of the Easts.” (37:5)
“Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path.” (3:50) (Aisha Bewley, The Divine Names)
And once again, Jesus is claiming to be the God of all Muslims, including Muhammad, and therefore cannot be a Muslim who preached the same message that Muhammad preached.
So the very verses you quoted end up backfiring against you since they end up proving that Islam is a false religion and Muhammad is a false prophet.
Bro thanks for the enlightening material.

Powerful refutation. The names alone that Jesus applies to Himself, The Truth and the Light, will be very handy when Muslims challenge the Deity of our Lord.

Excellent brother. I have one thing to say to all my muslim brothers. ” while we quote from Bible, they always say it’s been corrupted, but when they (muslims) are quoting from bible then they have to believe in it without any question of corruption. ” Now if you believe our Bible to defeat us you defeated yourself. God bless you all. Show you, guide you the right way, the way of salvation by Jesus Christ
