Jesus is Jehovah God According to the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ Bible! Pt. 6

Here is another installment in my ongoing series (https://islamunmasked.com/2018/10/14/jesus-is-jehovah-god-according-to-the-jehovahs-witnesses-bible-pt-4-2/) where I use the New World Translation (NWT) of the Jehovah’s Witnesses (JWs) to prove that Jesus Christ is Jehovah God Almighty in the flesh.

Jehovah the Righteous Judge Has Come!

According to the Hebrew Bible, Jehovah is the Lord of the whole earth,

“He said: ‘These are the two anointed ones who are standing alongside the Lord of the whole earth.’” Zechariah 4:14

Who will come to gather all the nations before him in judgement:

“Before Jehovah, for he is coming, He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the inhabited earth with righteousness And the peoples with his faithfulness.” Psalm 96:13

“Before Jehovah, for he is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the inhabited earth with righteousness And the peoples with fairness.” Psalm 98:9

“For look! in those days and in that time, When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem,  I will also gather together all the nations And bring them down to the Valley of Je·hoshʹa·phat… Come and help, all you surrounding nations, assemble together! To that place, O Jehovah, bring down your powerful ones. Let the nations be roused and come up to the Valley of Je·hoshʹa·phat; For there I will sit in order to judge all the surrounding nations.” Joel 3:1-2, 11-12

This shall be the day that Jehovah will repay every person for everything that s/he has done:

“Look! The Sovereign Lord Jehovah will come with power, And his arm will rule for him. Look! His reward is with him, And the wage he pays is before him.” Isaiah 40:10

“I, Jehovah, am searching the heart, Examining the innermost thoughts, To give to each one according to his ways, According to the fruitage of his works.” Jeremiah 17:10

Remarkably, the Lord Jesus takes the very language of both Isaiah 40:10 and Jeremiah 17:10 and applies it to himself!

“For the Son of man is to come in the glory of HIS Father with HIS angels, and then he will repay each one according to his behavior.” Matthew 16:27

“To the angel of the congregation in Thy·a·tiʹra write: These are the things that the Son of God says, the one who has eyes like a fiery flame and whose feet are like fine copper: ‘I know your deeds, and your love and faith and ministry and endurance, and that your deeds of late are more than those you did at first… so that all the congregations will know that I am the one who searches the innermost thoughts and hearts, and I will give to you individually according to your deeds.’” Revelation 2:18-19, 23b

“‘Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me, to repay each one according to his work. I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga, the first and the last, the beginning and the end…  I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear witness to you about these things for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David and the bright morning star.’… The one who bears witness of these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming quickly. Amen! Come, Lord Jesus.’” Revelation 22:12-13, 16, 20

Here it is Christ who claims to be the One that knows the innermost thoughts and hearts of every creature, and who is coming with his recompense to personally reward everyone according to his or her deeds!

Jesus also taught that he shall gather all the nations on the day he comes to sit on his glorious throne in order to judge them all:

“When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit down on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will put the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right: ‘Come, you who have been blessed by MY Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world.’… In reply the King will say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ Then he will say to those on his left: ‘Go away from me, you who have been cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.’” Matthew 25:31-34, 40-41

The Lord further explained that the reason why he comes to judge is because the Father doesn’t judge anyone, but has entrusted all judgment to his Son so that all will honor the Son in the exact same way that they honor the Father:

“For the Father judges no one at all, but he has entrusted all the judging to the Son, so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.” John 5:22-23

We are even told that Christ is the Lord of all creation, which is why everyone must stand before his judgment seat to receive their just reward:

“He sent out the word to the sons of Israel to declare to them the good news of peace through Jesus Christ—this one is Lord of all… Also, he ordered us to preach to the people and to give a thorough witness that this is the one decreed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.” Acts 10:36, 42

“For to this end Christ died and came to life again, so that he might be Lord over both the dead and the living. But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you also look down on your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.” Romans 14:9-10

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of the Christ, so that each one may be repaid according to the things he has practiced while in the body, whether good or bad. Therefore, since we know the fear of the Lord, we keep persuading men, but we are well-known to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:10-11

To sum up our discussion:

The Old Testament plainly teaches Jehovah is the Lord of all the earth and that he, and not some other, shall personally come to the earth in order to judge all the nations in righteousness. And since Jehovah searches and knows the inner most thoughts and hearts of every creature, he is able to perfectly recompense every person for what s/he has earned.

The Christian Scriptures proclaim that it is Jesus who is the Lord of all creation that comes to the earth to gather all the nations before his glorious throne of judgment. Jesus himself will recompense everyone according to everything s/he has done since he perfectly knows the hearts and innermost thoughts of every individual, and is therefore able to render perfect justice to all.

In light of this, could the God-breathed Scriptures be any more explicit that Jesus is Jehovah God Almighty in the flesh (even though he is not the Father or the Holy Spirit)?

Jehovah Jesus willing, I shall be publishing further installments in my series very soon.
